While hundreds of thousands of utility customers are still without power along the path of Hurricane Idalia and flooding is playing havoc in coastal and inland communities, the storm – which made landfall Wednesday as a Category 3 storm at Florida’s Big Bend area where the panhandle meets the peninsula – despite the devastation, could have been worse, but at least one Florida marina will be starting over.
