The Norwalk Boat Show is an in-water boating event showcasing 300 new boats across four days. Situated on the northern shore of Long Island Sound, it is a popular commuter community for New York City and is statistically part of the New York metropolitan area. Boating is a popular past-time in this high-net worth region of New England, and in a bid to boost the local boating industry, Connecticut has recently halved taxes on the sale of new boats from 6.35% to 2.99%.
